I am a mathematician based in London, currently completing a PhD in mathematics at UCL. My research lies primarily in combinatorics and graph theory, with a particular interest in probabilistic methods and extremal problems. My work focuses on structural questions in graphs, often studied through probabilistic techniques such as random constructions and dependent random choice. I am especially interested in how local constraints influence global structure, and in problems that sit at the boundary between pure combinatorics and theoretical computer science. Je suis mathématicien basé à Londres et je termine actuellement un doctorat (PhD) en mathématiques à UCL. Mes intérêts de recherche portent principalement sur l’analyse combinatoire et la théorie des graphes, avec un goût particulier pour les méthodes probabilistes et les problèmes extrémaux. Mon travail s’intéresse à des questions structurelles sur les graphes, souvent étudiées à l’aide de techniques probabilistes telles que les constructions aléatoires et la méthode du dependent random choice. Je m’intéresse tout particulièrement à la manière dont des contraintes locales peuvent influencer la structure globale, ainsi qu’aux problèmes à la frontière entre combinatoire pure et informatique théorique.
Alongside research, I teach mathematics and computer science at a range of levels, from sixth form to postgraduate level, as a visiting lecturer at the University of Malta, a teaching assistant at UCL, and as a private tutor. While I was an undergraduate at the University of Malta, I reinstated the Malta Mathematical Society and served as its first president. Outside academia, I have worked as a researcher at Simply VC, a company specialising in blockchain infrastructure, and co-founded the mobile app company LearnD. I enjoy building technical projects, particularly in web development, typesetting, and educational software. I was raised in Malta and am a Roman Catholic. In 2025, I married my wife Sophie. I currently manage the Maltese chapter of the Chartres pilgrimage, and I am writing a Sunday missal for the Traditional Latin Mass community in Malta. Outside mathematics, my interests include classical music (especially opera), playing the piano, (ethical) hacking, Brazilian jiu-jitsu, reading history, theology, philosophy, and Maltese literature.
